Commemorate

Formed in Kuala Lumpur in early 2023, commemorate is a five-piece shoegaze band drawing from DIIV, My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive, with touches of modern pop and post-rock. Swirling guitars and dreamy vocals make for a sound both hypnotic and weightless. Their self-titled debut, released by Jakarta's Lamunai Records, landed on best-of-2025 lists at home and abroad. They have since opened for Slowdive and recorded a KEXP Live Session at Axean Festival.
